The eighth edition of the festival will take place, as usual, during the first week of October, and for the fourth year running it will be held at the fabulous Hotel Palas in Vila-seca.
The festival is a week-long holiday for pool players. You’ll love the competitions: eight scheduled competitions with a guaranteed minimum prize fund of €12,000, a special €125 flyer for the most valiant cueists, and regular €10 flyers every morning, all taking place on sixteen Optima tables fitted with Hainsworth Precision cloths and using Aramith Pro-Cup balls. Some of the world’s best specialists will be there, but players of all levels will have a chance to win prize money thanks to the competition format.
Every day you can check the schedule for the following day. The competitions start in the afternoon, so you can spend the morning taking a dip in the hotel swimming pool, working out at the gym, relaxing in the sauna, playing tennis or padel, or enjoying the beach that is less than 300 ft away from the hotel.
Thanks to our wonderful team of staff and our years of experience, those who attend the festival admire how well it is organised and the relaxed, informal atmosphere. And that’s exactly what we try to create, because it is a vital asset for us.
If you come with your kids, don’t miss out on Port Aventura, the largest theme park in southern Europe, just a five-minute drive away. Free shuttles leave the hotel for Port Aventura every half an hour. The park keeps on growing, with Ferrari Land having opened last year.
Catalan cuisine needs no introduction, with some of the world’s best restaurants located in the vicinity, but the stunning landscapes and warm hospitality are two more reasons why you should come. All Festival participants must stay at the venue, which has very affordable prices, with half-board in a double room costing just €51 per person per night.
And the doors of the hotel lift are your gateway to heaven. Players from all over the world have attended, and they all want to come back. They are our ambassadors.
The pool hall will be open from 11am to 2am, with unlimited free pool whenever competitions are not taking place, often with a DJ pumping out music, and the bar across the road closes even later. For the closing party at the end of the week, we’ll have live music.
